  • KS 94 Temperature Controller with Cascade Control

    The KS 94 single loop controller is configurable for ON/OFF control, PID control and motorised valve control. The output function can be configured for ?/Y/Off, position control, split-range control, and numerous 3-point combinations of switching/continuous control.

    Control modes are set-point, set-point/cascade, and programmer, each with the possibility of setpoint offset. The effect of offset can be additive e.g. reduced standby set-point or as a factor e.g. O2 correction or split load. Offset can be triggered by an external contact, whereby the value is defined via an analog signal or via an adjustable parameter.

    The KS 42-1 has three process outputs that can be 3 relays or 2 relays plus a universal output. This universal output can be used for operating a solid-state relay, a continuous current/voltage output or to energize a two-wire transmitter.

    The KS 98-1 multiloop controller provides advanced functionality to its users. It benefits from having a large number of analog and digital inputs and outputs as standard.

  • West 4170+ VMD & Temperature Controller

    The 4170+ single loop controller is part of the Plus series range and has 3-point stepping control designed specifically for open loop, valve motor drive (VMD) applications.

    The 4170+ incorporates advanced tuning algorithms, with selectable pre-tune and self-tuning for easier setup. The self-tune also reduces output activity to an absolute minimum without compromising control quality, thereby reducing wear and tear on mechanical components such as valves, contactors and relays. In test, these controls have cut down valve oscillation from 30 to 40 times a minute to just a few. Pre-tune plus self-tuning has also been shown to get on control up to 3 times faster.

    In addition to the VMD outputs, further output options exist which can be designated as outputs for alarms, 24 VDC transmitter power supply, retransmit process value or setpoint.

  • West 4700+ Limit Controller

    The 4700+ limit controller is a member of the P series family. The instrument provides a latched relay output which is activated when process value either exceeds or falls below the a pre-set limit level, providing a fail-safe cut off which has to then be reset before the process can continue. The LED indication shows when limits have been exceeded and when the relay is latched out.

    With a full range of universal sensor input options the 4700+ provides a valuable control ‘watchdog’ for most systems.
