  • Gems FS-550 Flow Switch

    Gems® type FS-550 high pressure, metal paddle switches sense liquid flow in either direction to monitor flow/no-flow conditions. They are supplied in two paddle lengths. The paddle is trimmed during installation to permit switch actuation at the desired flow rate. As flow increases in a pipe, the paddle of the switch pivots to move out of the liquid path, producing less than 3psig of pressure drop regardless of pipe size.

    Gems® type FS-600 switches use proven thermal dispersion technology to provide a robust no moving part flow switch even without filtration. The solid state sensor is compatible with both conductive and non-conductive fluids. It is suitable for fluids with particulates or slurries, and is immune to changes in media viscosity. The straight through switch is designed for a long life and can be mounted in any orientation to handle a wide range of flow rates. No moving parts means years of reliable service.

    Gems® type FS-930 oil flow switches compensate for viscosity change in fluids. Their unique, patented design assures accuracy witin 20% over a full range of viscosities – from 40 to 2000 SSU. They are ideal for use in applications where liquids of different viscosities are blended, or for use in lubrication systems where oil flow monitoring is critical at start-up. Each unit is factory preset using 300 SSU oil for actuation at specified flow rates and compensates for viscosity changes automatically.

    Harwil® type Q-1 industrial flow switches are designed for extreme, long-term reliability. They detect and signal flow change and remain continuously adjustable while in operation. Six interchangeable orifices have 2:1 continuous switch adjustment. They are calibrated independent of line pressure and temperature, and maintain calibration limits when subjected to reasonable line hydraulic hammer or surge pulses.
