Ashcroft 1098 Siphon

The Ashcroft ^® series 1098 siphons are filled with water and installed between the gauge and the process line to prevent live steam from entering a pressure gauge Bourdon tube. If freezing of the condensate in the siphon loop is a possibility, use a diaphragm seal to isolate the gauge from the process steam. Also use siphons whenever condensing hot vapors (not just steam) are present.
